at Newport Links 29th July 2008
On a fine day at the newly constructed 18 holes at Newport Links, a great comination of pure links and parkland, the morning foursomes were halved at 2.5 each. Glamorgan proved too strong in the afternoon singles winning by 8 games to 2, giving an overall victory of 10.5 to 4.5.The match was played in great spirit on a course with breathtaking views.

Channel League Match v Gwent
at Peterstone Lakes 17th July 2008
At the end of a closely fought morning session of foursomes the match was tied at 2.5 games each. However the experience of the Glamorgan team came to the fore in the afternoon singles against a relatively young Gwent side, missing a couple of their top players, and after some close battles they won by 7 games to 3 giving an overall victory of 9.5 / 5.5. Despite the blustery conditions both teams played some excellent golf on a very well manicured golf course.
