Morlais Castle win Team Handicap Championship:
A fine team performance (Individual Nett scores of 69, 70 and 69)
by R. Albert, M. Healy and D. Thomas won the Team Handicap
Championship for Morlais Castle
That the CSS was 70 (SSS+1) shows how well al players in the team
scored. Second only two shots further back were Wenvoe Castle with
Pontypridd taking third spot on Count-back from Neath and Langland Bay.
J. Rees (Neath) playing off 5 won the individual prize with a fine 70 nett 65.

Ross McLister Wins Welsh Boys:
County Junior Champion Ross McLister (Cardiff) followed up his semi-final victory over Mike Hearne with a 2 & 1 win in the final to become the 2008 Welsh Boys' Champion.
Glamorgan sweep to victory in S Wales Boys Team Championships:
Glamorgan had a clean sweep of all the trophies in the U15/U16 Team Championships
held at Brynhill on Monday 4th August 2008. The U15 team of Oliver Baker,Jack Bush,
Lewys Bishop and Alex Baker and the U16 team of Dale Parry,Craig Melding,Nathan
Chilcott and James Sharp won their relevant age groups against Gwent and Dyfed,
together with the Colin Payne Trophy, for the combined group scores, by 32 shots. The
individual gross winner was Craig Melding of Neath with a score of 73.

The County Seniors' team scored a narrow 8 - 7 victory over Somerset in the Seniors' Channel League match at Clevedon. Duncan Samuels' last-hole birdie proving crucial. The win means that the last match away at Devon will effectively decide the winners of the first Seniors' Channel League.

Championship at an extremely windy Clyne yesterday. His two round score won
the Championship by 5 strokes from Clyne player Tim Rees with Radyr's Brent
