Borth & Ynyslas Sunday Sept. 21st: A fine team performance over 36 holes ensured the County regained the GUW Inter-Counties title. All six players produced contributing scores and the fact that the highest counting score was 75 over the two rounds is testament to the team's consistency. A fine 67 in the morning by County Champion Richard Hooper with Richie Evans' 70 a 72 from Ian Flower and 73's from Brent O'Neill and Luke Thomas gave a slender lead over Caernavonshire.
The afternoon saw the breeze (and the scores) rise but Chris O'Neill, after the disappointment of the discarded score in the morning matched Richard Hooper's 67. This put the County in a strong position resulting in a 19 shot margin over second-placed Caernarvonshire.
Richard Hooper with 67, 72 was runner-up in the individual standings
